Sunday Prayer

Jesus – the Lion and the Lamb

Sunday Prayer

Lord Jesus, this is the day that You have made, and I will rejoice and be glad in it (Ps.118:24). Today and every Sunday, remind me of Your victory over the grave, the day of resurrection from the dead! I confess with my mouth Jesus is Lord, and believe in my heart that You rose from the dead-and now You are alive forevermore (Rom.10: 9, 10). So, thank you for saving me.

Thank You,  Jesus, for demonstrating Your love for me.  You forgave all of my sins and made me brand new in You (2 Cor. 5:17). And so, with joy I go into Your house-the house of prayer, to sing praises to Your name and worship You.

Lord Jesus, Today, and everyday throughout this week, my mind is willing to receive beautiful words, wonderful words of life from You. Let me also share this message of Your love with someone-anyone, You show me.

Watch over me and bless me, dear Jesus- Lion of Judah, for I am Your little lamb. Amen.

Monday Prayer

Dear Father, I need Your new favour this morning; great is Your faithfulness (Lamentations 3:23). My mind is filled with peace knowing that Jesus is with me. He will guide me, guard me and provide for me. Help me hear Your voice, dear Jesus, for I am Your sheep. Help me not to be distracted or deceived by the defeated enemy – the devil. For You have crushed Satan’s head and triumphed victoriously. You have prepared a banquet table of celebration and raised Your banner of love over me (Ps. 23:4, Song of Songs 2:4).

Today, I thank you for my Mom and Dad – their care towards me. Bless them as they resume their routine duties. Help me be obedient and kind towards them. Hold me close, dear Jesus. Amen.

Tuesday Prayer

Thought: Jesus is King of the Universe

Dear Daddy, I have many plans, and so much work to do. Sometimes, it becomes difficult. But I know You will help me today.

You are the best Daddy in the universe because You gave me Jesus who is always by my side (Rom. 8:32). My eyes, my ears, my mouth, my nose and my skin – all my five senses to see, to hear to speak, to smell and to feel are wonderfully created by Him (Ps. 139:14).

Beach and rocks

Thank you for the food, clothing and shelter you have given me.

All I am is Yours. You are Wonderful, King Jesus, and You delight to honor me. Amen.

Wednesday Prayer

Dear Papa, Thank you for the life in me because of Jesus. I am alive, forgiven, much loved and highly favoured.

But I also see the pain of these people around me who are suffering. They are lost, blind, helpless and without hope. But You are the God of hope, and so I ask You to help them. My friends in school, my neighbours around my home and even people I may not like – help them to know You, Daddy, and Jesus Your Son whom You have sent to save us all. If they knew Jesus, then they will know eternal life. So, Forgive them, heal them and give them hope. Fill my heart with the compassion of Jesus, for no one else can help them.

Food and clothing

Thank you for taking away disease and death and granting me health and life, dear Jesus. Help me to walk in Your light and share this hope with someone today. Amen.

Thursday Prayer

Abba, today I could be so busy trying to finish my work. But I sit before You and quiet myself. My spirit, my soul and my body belongs to You, and I am Your child. I want to grow in You. In the world, what seems precious to me now may become worthless tomorrow.

Open my eyes to see, and open my ears to hear those wonderful words of life. Jesus is my wisdom, Jesus is my righteousness, my sanctification, my strength, my song. My spirit eyes – let it see Your glory, my spirit ears – let it hear Your voice, and my spirit mouth – let it speak life to those around me.

I arise to life from death, alive to righteousness and dead to sin, aligned to heavenly riches away from the pull of poverty, and arrayed in glorious light away from darkness.

Thank You for choosing me, calling me precious and crowning me with Your loving kindness, dear Jesus. So, my mouth confess– Jesus is Lord. Amen.

Friday Prayer

Dear Lord, what a wonderful day this is going to be. I will finish the works assigned to me; I will walk in victory. I will come back rejoicing for You anoint my head with oil. Hallelujah!

Lord, in my pain, in my tears, in my sorrows and in my suffering – I look towards the cross of Jesus Christ. There He was bruised for my sins, wounded for my straying. Stripped and beaten, for my healing. There He was slapped and spat upon, mocked and crowned with thorns (Mark 15:20). I stood frozen, filled with fear. And there Lord Jesus, You turned saw me… my heartbeats became faster and louder… Yes Lord, sometimes I see myself in Simon Peter and what he did on that Friday night, denying You and filled with fear (Luk. 22:61). Yes, You turned and saw ME as the rooster crowed…. and then went to the cross. My eyes swell with tears, My Lord, it’s not my love for You that holds, it’s Your love for me that holds us together.

And so like Peter, I too come to You, Lord Jesus. Now, I will arise and go to my Father- feel His arms around me, but I come to the cross first; I also come to the empty grave. I also reply to Your question”Do you love Me?” in this manner: “Lord, You know all things, and you know I love You” (definitely less, less than how much You love me). I know I am forgiven – full and free. Accpted. Called. Chosen. Commissioned for a greater cause. in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Saturday Prayer

Dear Father, today I pray for the world around me. Every country, every state, every city and every citizen in this whole wide world; and every single person who would believe in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. That knowing the gospel truth will set Your people free. Each one turning towards Christ will be transported from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of Your beloved Son. Ransomed from sin to be clothed in Your righteousness, delivered from sickness to glorious health, redeemed from poverty to inherit the riches of Your grace, triumphant over death to walk in fullness of life, yes, even eternal life – here and now.

Grant me Your Spirit, Lord Jesus, that today I will be more than a conqueror in You, for greater is He that is in me than He that is in the world. And You have overcome the world.

Thank You for the Holy Spirit and love of God poured into our hearts (Rom. 5:5). Thank you for your free gifts of grace.

What can I do for you today, dear Jesus? Amen.
